Privacy Policy

Romance & Roleplay ("we," "us," "our") is a sole proprietorship operated by Brian Hanson. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit romanceandroleplay.com or subscribe to our service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, used to create and manage your account.
- Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card number. We receive and store your subscription status, billing tier, and Stripe customer ID to manage your account.
- Shipping address: collected at checkout so we can mail your physical scenario guides.
- Phone number (optional): collected only if you opt in to text messages at checkout. If you don't opt in, we never ask for or store a phone number.
- SMS consent status: whether you've agreed to receive text messages, so we know who we're allowed to text.
We do not collect payment card details, government ID, or any information beyond what's listed above. We do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking scripts on this site; if that changes, this policy will be updated first.
2. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and process your subscription.
- To ship your physical order to the address you provide.
- To send you the content your subscription includes, by email.
- To send you text messages — only if you've opted in — about your order and subscription content. We do not send marketing text blasts to purchased lists; every SMS recipient opted in individually at checkout for their own order.
- To respond if you contact us at hello@romanceandroleplay.com, including First Night Guarantee claims.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do their job:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Supabase — account storage and secure login.
- GoHighLevel (and its SMS/email delivery partners) — sending the emails and, if you've opted in, text messages described above.
- Vercel — website hosting.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
4. Text messaging (SMS) — your choices
If you opt in to text messages at checkout, you'll receive messages related to your order and subscription content, at the frequency described at signup (a few messages a month). Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting hello@romanceandroleplay.com. Reply HELP to any message for support. Opting out of SMS never affects your account, your subscription, or your email delivery — it only stops texts.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access or update your information: log into your account, or email hello@romanceandroleplay.com.
- Delete your account: email hello@romanceandroleplay.com and we'll remove your account and associated data, except what we're required to keep for tax/financial records.
- Unsubscribe from email: every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Unsubscribe from SMS: reply STOP, as above.
- If you're a California resident, you have rights under California law to know what personal information we hold about you and to request its deletion — the contact above covers this too.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after cancellation for legitimate business and legal purposes (e.g., tax records). You can request earlier deletion as described above.
7. Children's privacy
Romance & Roleplay is intended for adults in committed relationships. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and, where required, notify you directly.
